About Us

Christina Spencer RN, BSN started teaching nursing assistant classes in 1980, the year that training became a requirement in Washington state.  She founded N.A.T.I. in 1983 and has been the Program Director ever since.  NATI is the oldest, private vocational school for nursing assistants in Washington state.

Providing superior training for nursing assistants is our exclusive focus.  Our staff is made up of RN's who have worked as charge or staff nurses, nursing educators, directors of nursing, and nursing administrators.  They are here because of a desire to help students evolve into competent and caring caregivers.  Additionally, we have guest speakers such as an occupational therapist who shares insight on rehabilitation, a lecturer from the Alzheimer Assocation and a speaker on the topic of HIV/AIDS.

Our beautiful and spacious classrooms and skills labs make for a pleasant environment that facilitates learning.  We are conveniently located in Gateway Plaza, right on a bus line in North Seattle/ Shoreline.  There is plenty of free parking.

Our goal is to help you learn in a supportive environment and move smoothly through the process of becoming a certified nursing assistant.
